# Desktop viewer: power lines, poles, fences and vehicles

> What the deep classifier adds to ground, vegetation and buildings, and how to leave a power line and its poles alone on the screen.

## Get the classes

1. In the cloud: turn on scene classification for the run and choose the deep classifier (Point Transformer V3). It runs on a GPU machine, and a run waits in the queue when none is free.
2. On your computer: with the desktop licence, Finitor Desktop installs the deep classifier where there is an NVIDIA graphics card, and nothing leaves your computer.

## Isolate them

1. Colour by Class. Under Class filter, untick Ground, Veg and Building: what is left is what the deep classifier adds — wires, poles, fences and vehicles, each with its count.
2. Untick Vehicles and Fences as well to leave a line alone: the conductors, span after span, and the poles that carry them.
3. Measure on what is left — the height of a conductor above the ground, the distance between poles — and export the classes you need.

As with any automatic classification, review the result: a thin branch can be taken for a wire, a trunk for a pole. Correct it with the brush or a polygon, as in the classes guide.
